Latest developments
Recent R&D initiatives have again raised general accuracy levels for Cognitec’s main matching algorithm. In particular, the latest version is showing remarkably robust test results for facial images with extreme pose angles.
We have released the new matching algorithm B15 in version 9.9 of the FaceVACS Engine, with novel algorithm training methods and a new face finder contributing to substantial performance upgrades.
The new Engine version also introduces the ISO 39794-5 compliance check for MRTD and general purpose images.
It also includes the new A21 algorithm with smaller memory footprint for mobile application development.

Cognitec provides the FaceVACS Engine through customized software development kits, with a set of functions and modules specific to each use case and computing platform, and based on tailored software licensing agreements. Such specific use cases include: image quality check, verification for document issuance, and verification for access control.
