Software Engineer – Machine Learning
Location: Dresden, Germany
Cognitec Systems GmbH is seeking a qualified Software Engineer – Machine Learning (m/f/d) in full-time to start as soon as possible. You will collaborate with researchers across the algorithm team to translate research code and scientific ideas into maintainable, deployable, and robust software. You will be deeply involved in some of the world’s most exciting, cutting-edge, interdisciplinary AI projects.
A powerful and well-organized infrastructure for experimenting with large amounts of image data is a key factor in successful algorithm development. With all the reproducibility, consistency, efficiency, and usability requirements, it is clearly a challenging and diversified working field in its own. In close cooperation with other developers and users, the scientific software engineer will advance the capabilities of our complete research infrastructure.
Key areas of responsibilities
- advance and maintain our software environment for experimentation (C++, Python)
- primary data warehousing
- requirement analysis and quality assurance
- advance tools for data analysis
Your profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in science or engineering
- 3 years of experience with C++ and Python programming
- several years of experience with software engineering
- experience with SQL databases
- English fluent in speech and writing
Nice if you have experience with
- scientific computing and software design patterns
- knowledge of data analysis
