Senior Hardware Specialist
Location: Dresden, Germany
Cognitec Systems GmbH is seeking a qualified Senior Hardware Specialist (m/f/d) in full-time to start as soon as possible. As a Hardware Specialist, you will be responsible for designing products that incorporate Cognitec's facial recognition technology and consist of various hardware and software components. This includes the design, implementation and optimization of electronic circuits and assemblies using modern design tools.
Key areas of responsibility
- apply electronic design principles and techniques to design, develop, test and check hardware products and systems
- analyze customer requirements in cooperation with product management
- design, implement and test hardware systems
- provide knowledgeable technical support to customers and customer service
Your profile
- engineering studies in either mechatronics or electrical/electronic engineering
- advanced knowledge in digital and analog circuitry and related design methods for digital and analog design, bus and power supply systems
- Advanced experience in EMC-compliant design and the ability to technically and administratively support certification procedures
- knowledge in software development for microcontrollers and the programming languages C and C++
- confident use of measurement and analysis tools and experience in fine soldering in electronic assemblies
- confident handling of 3D design data and CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks, FreeCAD)
- experience in the use of PCB design systems (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCAD) and the use of simulation environments (e.g., Spice)
- experience in using Linux and Windows systems as development platforms
- expert knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python)
- experience with programmable logic and FPGA technology is an advantage
- ideally knowledge in using the Quartus design system for INTEL FPGA and Verilog
- excellent written and spoken German and English
