Hardware Engineer
Location: Dresden, Germany
Cognitec Systems GmbH is seeking a qualified Hardware Engineer (m/f/d) in full-time to start as soon as possible. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing products that incorporate Cognitec's facial recognition technology and consist of various hardware and software components.
Key areas of responsibility
- analyze customer requirements in cooperation with product management
- apply electronic design principles and techniques to design, develop, test and check hardware products and systems
- develop test software and firmware components
Your profile
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechatronics, electrical/electronic engineering or computer science
- good knowledge of digital and analog circuit technology
- advanced knowledge of PCB development tools, especially Altium Designer
- experience in embedded software development for microcontrollers in C and C++
- confident use of measurement and analysis tools, and experience in precision soldering in electronic assemblies
- knowledge in EMC-compliant design and the ability to technically and administratively support certification procedures
- experience in using Linux and Windows systems as development platforms
- experience with programmable logic and FPGA technology is an advantage
- knowledge of development collaboration tools (e.g. Git, Jira, Confluence)
