Sales Manager

Reports to: Vice President Americas

Location: Greater Boston Area, MA, USA

The Sales Manager will maintain and strengthen existing customer sales; identify new business opportunities, close business, and generate revenue for Cognitec’ s well-established business products.

The ideal candidate possesses 8 to 10 years of sales experience in the video, biometrics and/or security industry, communicates effectively, focuses on sales and customers, collaborates with other team members, overcomes customers’ sales challenges creatively and demonstrates high integrity. A college degree and intensive IT knowledge are required. Previous experience with a CRM tool is desirable.

Key areas of responsibility

  • actively generate new leads
  • close business and generate revenue to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • perform product demonstrations to prospective clients
  • identify new opportunities and work with team to implement
  • maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships
  • perform lead follow-up and qualification
  • generate quotations and follow-up to turn into orders
  • provide feedback to Product Management on product enhancements
  • maintain current and accurate account status report
  • build, execute, and maintain a market and product specific business development plan
  • stay current with competitive products and technology and communicate updates to Management
  • represent the company in a professional, knowledgeable manner
  • understand customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • effectively communicate technical information
  • maintain strong interpersonal relationships and attention to detail
  • work under deadline pressure and meet deadlines
  • work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter
  • work in a changing, demanding, and fast growing international company
  • travel and work in a global team
  • Position will require 50% travel.
